Peconic Ballet Foundation Presents 'Art Barre' in Westhampton Beach

A black-and-white image of a ballet dancer performing a high leg extension on stage. She is balanced on one foot, with her other leg lifted high behind her, arms extended outward. She wears a flowing white dress that creates a soft, sculptural shape again

A lone dancer arcs through space, her body held in a moment of impossible balance—strength and fragility captured in a single breath against the void.

WEST HAMPTON BEACH, NY, UNITED STATES, April 3, 2026 /EINPresswire.com/ -- The Peconic Ballet Foundation is proud to present Art Barre, an immersive evening celebrating the intersection of wine, art, and dance, on Sunday, April 19 at 4:00 PM at the Westhampton Beach Performing Arts Center.

Now in its latest evolution, Art Barre continues the Foundation’s mission of making the arts accessible to all. Serving the East End since 2014, the Peconic Ballet Foundation has been dedicated to providing dance education opportunities for students of all backgrounds.

This year marks a special milestone as Art Barre moves to the Westhampton Beach Performing Arts Center for the first time, offering guests a truly immersive experience. The evening will begin with a complimentary wine tasting presented by Six Corners Fine Wine & Spirits in the venue’s garden (weather permitting).

Guests will then move through the stage doors onto the theater stage, experiencing visual art from the artist’s perspective before taking their seats for a live performance by the Peconic Ballet Dance Company.

Featured artist Peter Macapia brings a dynamic visual component to the evening, further enhancing the connection between movement, space, and artistic expression.

“Art Barre is about bringing our community together through the arts. By combining dance, visual art, and local partnerships, we are creating an experience that not only inspires but also supports our mission of making dance education accessible to every student on the East End. It’s also about fostering the arts across the East End—connecting creative spaces and showcasing all that our region has to offer in one place,” said Christiana Bitonti-Fisher, Artistic Director.

Proceeds from Art Barre directly support the Peconic Ballet Foundation’s programs, which aim to provide inclusive and accessible dance education throughout the region.
