Vietnam to Launch Landmark High-Speed Railway

(MENAFN) Vietnam has announced plans to commence construction of the North-South high-speed railway project by the end of 2026, according to a media outlet.

Minister of Construction Tran Hong Minh called on relevant departments to speed up preparations, including land clearance, consultant selection, and the completion of specific mechanisms, to ensure the project begins on time.

The ambitious undertaking will require an estimated investment of 67 billion U.S. dollars.

Stretching 1,541 kilometers, the railway will connect 20 out of Vietnam’s 34 cities and provinces, a news agency reported.
