FIFA Sets December 5 for 2026 World Cup Final Draw
The upcoming tournament, which will be hosted across 16 cities in Canada, Mexico, and the United States, will feature 48 teams organized into 12 groups.
As previously outlined in the match schedule released last year, the teams from the host nations will be assigned to positions A1 (Mexico), B1 (Canada), and D1 (USA).
Alongside the three hosts, 10 countries have already secured their spots, including the defending champions Argentina, as well as Australia, Brazil, Ecuador, Iran, Japan, Jordan, South Korea, New Zealand, and Uzbekistan.
By the time the draw occurs, 42 of the 48 teams will be confirmed, with the final six berths up for grabs in play-off matches slated for March 2026.
